For the past 11 years, The Canadian Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health (CAMIMH) has hosted national nominations for its Faces of Mental Illness campaign. Through this campaign, five individuals from across Canada are selected to become the faces of mental illness by sharing their personal stories and the message that with appropriate access to services and support, recovery from mental illness is possible. Among this year's Faces of Mental Illness is our own Arthur Gallant, Co-Chair of the Service User Expert Panel and tireless advocate and mental health educator. Congratulations Arthur for attaining this important honour and in contributing to the public discussion about mental illness which is so critical to creating awareness and decreasing stigma.
