Kids are in an unprecedented mental and physical health crisis due to COVID-19.
This is according to Children First Canada’s #codePINK campaign, which has been informed by their partners, including children’s health organizations across the country such as SickKids, Holland Bloorview, and CHEO.
Code PINK is a term used for paediatric emergencies, which is appropriate as anxiety, eating disorders, substance-use disorders and suicide attempts among children and youth have increased dramatically since the start of the pandemic.
