Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death in youth aged 15-32, and the 3rd leading cause of death in youth aged 10-14

The X Movement team believes that through assisting school communities in developing a positive, healthy and energizing school climate, they can work towards eradicating this alarming statistic.
Over 375,000 youth across 2,000 schools in Ontario have already received the X Movement program.

Thanks Max - although not youth focused - you may also be interested in a report that CAMH HPRC/EENet (somewhat) recently completed called Pathways to Promoting Mental Health. This report outlines the results of another public health provincial survey exploring what types of MHP activities public health units are engaged in but focusing on adults 18+.

With respect to the registry you suggest above, do you mean mental health promotion programs that are currently offered in school settings or outside of school settings (like in community based settings?)

Hi Max, great to hear your observation about the increased use of positive  mental health language in Ontario's school system since we can promote mental health and well-being for everyone.

I agree that there are many programs to choose from but a comprehensive social and emotional learning program will incorporate emotional literacy, self regulation, character education and even to some extent physical activity.

Let's keep talking about mental health promotion! looking forward to your reply to Tamar.
