I am a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and Professor and Chair of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Western Ontario-"Western".Clinically I work at both the Adolescent Unit at Regional Mental Health Care with an outreach team of nurses and a part time social worker in a very neat model of care that our youth enjoy because they have very little need for "office"visits.

I also have a presence in acute care at London Health Sciences Centre.Program development is one of my roles and I am specially interest in transitions at all developmental points along the early life trajectory:from infancy to early adulthood.Stage rather than age should dictate these transitions.

Another passion of mine is the illness journey and the voice of the person and their family with this experience.I am on the Provincial Management Committee for the AMS Phoenix Project whose goal is to re calibrate person centred compassionate care in health care delivery. This allows me o "marry"my interest in promoting the patient/family voice in the transformation of health care(physical and mental.....which don't separate very well anyway!

Hi My name is Debbie I am an RSSW and I work for Grey County in Owen Sound Ontario.  I am a caseworker for Ontario Works.  I am also currently enrolled in the Addiction Care Worker Diploma Program through McMaster.  I work with people who are in stressful situations on a daily basis.  I am interested in any information that will help me understand those who I deal with on a daily basis.

David here. I consider myself an interested outsider to EE Net. I know the team at CAMH and I am looking forward to seeing this new initiative grow and create value not only for stakeholders in addictions and mental health but for those of us interested in knowledge exchange more broadly. On line tools are growing in importance for knowledge brokers. This platform looks like it has all the components to support our work....I'm interested to see it in action.

Hello All! I'm the project coordinator for Mobilizing Minds http://www.mobilizingminds.ca/, a national youth mental health KT project funded by CIHR and MHCC. Our team includes researchers, health professionals and young adults. We are working together to develop, evaluate and disseminate evidence-based mental health resources and decision-aids to help young adults (ages 18-25) and those who support them, in making informed choices about their mental health. The project is partnered with 5 universities (including York University's KMb Unit where my office is located) and mindyourmind.ca. We are in the last year of the project and will be disseminating these resources (free of charge) this summer/fall. Please feel free to contact me directly if you are interested in receiving these resources or want to learn more mcpheej@yorku.ca

I'm thrilled to be a part of this community and look forward to sharing, learning and collaborating! Thanks EENet

Hello from Sudbury - I'm Jill Sherman, I'm a Research Associate with the Centre for Rural and Northern Health Research.  I've worked on research projects examining access to psychiatric and mental health services in Northern Ontario. I spend way too much time with my computer, my hope is this forum will provide an important window into the perspectives of those organizing and providing the services!

Hello everybody!

I am Arthur Gallant and I am the co-chairman of the Service User Expert Panel in the PSSP at CAMH. Thank goodness I don't have business cards because that is a super long title!

I come into my role as co-chairman with 23 years of life experience. I have a parent with mental illness and I myself have mental illness too. I am a former Youth In Care. I use my experience to make improvements to the mental health system. I have sat on various advisory panels and I am excited to have just been appointed to the Youth Council at the Mental Health Commission of Canada.

I also speak to the media including appearances on TVOs The Agenda with Steve Paikin and I encourage you to check out my mental health blog on The Huffington Post http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/arthur-gallant/

I'm looking forward to using these forums to connect with all of you!

Hi there to everyone! I am Deirdra Burke Executive Director for T.A. Patterson. We are a community based transfer payment ageny for MCYS Youth Justice and Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services. We provide addiction specific counselling for youth/adults on probation. Staff are located in a number of probation offices around the GTA, Peel, Hamilton and Guelph.

My agency often struggles with being recognized as a contributor to the greater system because most of the tables that we sit at are Health funded agencies.

I am looking forward to this opportunity to connect and share with others. I do hope that it becomes an active community as I know that many of us are very busy just doing the work that we do.

Let's spread the word.

Hi everyone!

My name is Monica Nunes and I am a Research Analyst with the Health Promotion & Prevention Team in the Provincial System and Support Program at CAMH. It's so exciting to see representation from so many sectors from health promotion to service delivery to youth engagement(and more!) with an interest in mental health and addictions in this space. Looking forward to learning lots here!

Monica

Hi everyone,

When I joined EEnet connect, not so long ago, I was a product developer with the Education department at CAMH, and now I've just joined CAMH's Provincial System Support Program as a regional knowledge exchange lead for the GTA. I'm really looking forward to learning more about EEnet from the inside. Prior to my new role, my work focused on developing resources mostly on topics related to women, trauma, health equity and youth. I'm looking forward all the new areas of learning and networking that my new job will undoubtedly bring.
