The Nicotine Dependence Service (NDS) at CAMH is excited to share our Vaping Cessation Guideline Resource! This resource was developed in response to the growing prevalence of e-cigarette use, in collaboration with a group of international experts and people with lived experience of e-cigarette use, with the goal of providing evidence-based guidance for healthcare providers to support adults and youth (ages 15-24) who want to quit vaping.

The Paula Goering Collaborative Research and Knowledge Translation Award recognizes an innovative researcher – knowledge user collaboration for Integrated Knowledge Translation (IKT) in the area of mental health and addictions.

The Centre for Innovation in Campus Mental Health (CICMH) works with post-secondary institutions and community organizations to enhance their capacity to support student mental health and wellness. A key piece of our work is to establish collaborations and partnerships between post-secondary institutions and community organizations.

Mental Health Week (MHW) is acknowledged during the first week of May with an emphasis on children’s mental health.

Alcohol consumption, ensuing harms, and treatments for harmful alcohol use have all changed during the COVID-19 pandemic as a result of government-enforced shutdowns and policies to encourage social distancing.

On March 10th, a webinar was co-hosted by Evidence Exchange Network (EENet), within the Provincial Support Program at CAMH, and by the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA), wherein a a panel of experts presented emerging research on these significant changes.

Health Canada is pleased to announce the publication of its consultation on proposed Regulations Amending Certain Regulations Concerning Cannabis Research and Testing and Cannabis Beverages.

The consultation provides Canadians and interested stakeholders with the opportunity to comment on Health Canada’s proposed regulatory amendments to the Cannabis Act, the Cannabis Regulations, and the Cannabis Exemption (Food and Drugs Act) Regulations.
