Check out this new Eating Disorders Toolkit

The toolkit was developed by Centre of Innovation Campus Mental Health (CICMH) in partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).

The purpose of this toolkit is to help staff and faculty increase their awareness, knowledge, and confidence in supporting students with concerns around eating disorders. While not meant to create experts, this resource offers a starting point for understanding eating disorders, disordered eating, and the unique risk factors students face in post-secondary environments.

Is psychopathy related to alexithymia?

Alexithymia is the reduced or inability to identify and describe one's emotions. When asked to describe feelings, people with alexithymia will more often describe the physical corporeal response to the feeling, rather than the complex emotion itself.  Prior research has linked alexithymia to people with mental health disorders such as depression.  Now, a team of Max Plank Society researchers in Germany have found a link between psychopathy and alexithymia.
