Community Guidelines

Welcome!

EENet Connect is an online community where members of Ontario’s mental health and addictions system create profiles, share knowledge, and collaborate. The community reinforces existing relationships while allowing new connections to take root and grow.

Please

  • Participate! Respond to items you have experience with or an opinion on.
  • Suggest new and interesting topics, raise questions, and ask for input.
  • Share resources and references.
  • Share upcoming events and opportunities!
  • Use correct spelling and grammar. Proofread before posting!
  • Keep it clean and legal. Avoid profanity, personal attacks, offensive and inappropriate language.
  • Avoid posting any information that may be of a sensitive nature.
  • Respect the privacy of colleagues and clients by not using real names or other identifiers.

We will remove messages that contain

  • Potentially libelous statements.
  • Obscene, explicit, or racist language including hate speech.
  • Personal attacks, insults, or threats.
  • Commercial product promotions or endorsements.
  • The identity or personal information (including personal health information) of any person without their expressed consent.
  • Comments unrelated to the topic of discussion.
  • Hyperlinks to material that does not reflect the purpose of the EENet Connect community or is not directly related to the discussion to which you are posting.

By participating, you are agreeing to abide by these guidelines.

Moderation

EENet Connect reserves the right to remove posts and revoke access at any time, for any reason.

The role of the EENet Connect moderators is to assist in the smooth functioning of the EENet Connect discussion forum and to occasionally offer information. Moderators do not review posts before they appear on the site. If you post to a public-facing forum, your name will be visible to the public and associated with that post, but no information you provided when you completed your registration form will be visible. If you post to a members only subgroup, only registered members of that subgroup will see your name and post.

While EENet Connect staff will attempt to be aware of posts that go against the rules and guidelines set out above, they do not review posts in real-time. You are encouraged to play an active part in the health of the EENet Connect community. The part you can play includes taking responsibility for your interactions with other EENet Connect members and reporting any problematic posts and activity to EENet Connect staff by emailing eenetconnect@camh.ca.
