Yesterday marked the 10th annual Bell Let's Talk Day, an effort to raise funds that support mental health initiatives across Canada. So how did Bell do?

According to their website, on January 29 Bell logged 154,078,650 interactions through voice call, text, and social media that included "messages of support for mental health."

With the company pledging to donate five cents to mental health initiatives for each interaction, this equates to $7,719,371.25 CDN. Canadian mental health charities can now apply for money from the Bell Let's Talk Community Fund until March 16.

Did you participate? What's your take?

Trouble here is they talk the talk but they don’t walk the walk.

They utilize their monopoly to charge abusive rates for people who are incarcerated and their families.

I personally have treated multiple employees from staff to C-Suite whose mental health challenges were exasperated by Bell’s treatment of their employees.

So should we really be supporting a campaign from an organization whose actions do not align with their message?
