Call for stories: the WHO wants to hear your experiences with delivering mental health support during the COVID-19 pandemic
The Mental Health Innovation Network, in collaboration with the Department of Mental Health and Substance Use at the World Health Organization, is calling for submissions of global experiences of mental health and social care providers involved in mental health support and restructuring of services during the COVID-19 outbreak. Services may support either people affected by the outbreak or people with pre-existing mental health conditions or psychosocial disabilities.

Thanks, Emma, that an important topic. My work up in Sandy Lake First Nation (one week a month) was interrupted because of ban on visitors from the GTA. It won't be easy to stay connected, it's hard to reach some of these clients in the best of circumstances. Many have no phone, and those who do can't afford the usage charges. I am discussing with the community nursing station how we might try scheduling some of the more at risk community members to attend counselling by video. I'm curious to hear how others are managing some of the unique challenges it creates for them.
