Course Description

Immerse yourself in the world of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) with this foundational two-day training designed for mental health professionals. Whether you're new to DBT or looking to refine your therapeutic stance, this immersive workshop will introduce the theory, structure, and practical application of DBT in clinical settings.

  • Day 1 – The Heart of DBT: Theory & Therapeutic StanceExplore the origins and evolution of DBT, including the core theoretical principles that make this modality effective for treating emotion dysregulation, BPD, and related challenges. Participants will be guided through the essential components of DBT’s biosocial theory and will deepen their understanding of how to embody the DBT therapist stance—a unique and powerful combination of warmth, acceptance, and strategic intervention.

  • Day 2 – Core Skills & Clinical ApplicationOn Day 2, you'll shift from theory to practice. Learn and experience DBT's key skill modules (Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and Distress Tolerance) through experiential exercises, clinical discussion, and small-group learning. This day focuses on learning by doing—providing tools you can bring into session right away.

Interactive components and integrated Q&A segments are designed to support real-time clarification and application of skills.
