FREE Refugee Mental Health Online Course - Registration Now Open

The Refugee Mental Health course is accepting registrations for the 2014-15 year. Developed by the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, this 4-week, online course is designed to help build service providers’ knowledge and skills regarding refugee mental health issues.

 

Course topics include mental health problems affecting refugees; the unique needs of refugee women, children, seniors and victims of torture; treatment issues and considerations; and refugee mental health promotion. There is a course each designed for these groups of professionals:

To be eligible you must be:

  • Either a frontline settlement/social services provider or health care professional
  • Working with refugees
  • Employed in Ontario.
