PPE Registry for Ontario Healthcare Providers - fill out this form if your community organization is in need of PPE
The Robert Kerr Foundation and Knix, a Toronto-based company, has partnered to provide PPE to Ontario community organizations in need.
They have used the support of their community donations from the Knix GoFundMePage to create centralized supplies for distribution, and to order certified equipment from overseas, and to donate the goods to places that are experiencing near term shortages.
Please fill out this form if your Ontario hospital, clinic, lab, home, etc. needs extra protective equipment and they will do their best to help.
This is awesome! I see that it is only for HCP on the first page but above it mentions home. I know of a cab company who is in need. Do you know if they be would able to tap into this?
[@mention:366389314724001871] yes so awesome! Not sure, but it's worth a try asking. I would suggest contacting the organizers. If you go to the GoFundMe page (link in the post above), scroll to the bottom and there's a button to contact Joanna, the organizer.
Don't you all find it a bit bizarre to have a go fund me for a core activity of the health care system?
I thought under Ontario health care legislation places like hospitals are not supposed to have charities or foundations fund core activities of everyday care.
At the same time, good to hear of cab companies getting PPE through this.
What do you think?
I agree with you Bill.
I agree too! But at least there is PPE getting to people that need it.
