Today is International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD)
August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD)
A global event held each year that aims to raise awareness of overdose, learn about signs and symptoms, and reduce the stigma of a drug-related death.
Every year thousands of individuals die from drug overdose. It is a day for friends, family, and loved ones to remember those who have been lost. This is an opportunity to connect with each other, share our experiences, stories and work towards raising awareness and reducing the stigma around substance use.
To join the conversation and share personal stories use #IOAD2020.
