Two-day Mindfulness Course (MTER) Five Free Scholarships - first come, first served
The MTER (Mindfulness Training for Emotional Resilience ) program was originally developed for the purpose of providing accessible mindfulness-based mental health training for front-line clinicians working in community agencies with marginalized populations.
Bell Let’s Talk provided the original grant for its development to create user-friendly resources for clients and clinical tools for mental health practitioners.
This program continues to be offered as part of Adler's Continuing Education programs. In this next iteration and in the spirit of diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI) we are offering FIVE FREE REGISTRATIONS in support of mental health clinicians working in community settings supporting BIPOC populations. Scholarships for successful applicants will be provided by ALFREDS, which manages Adler's endowment funds. Please write a one-page application in point form, explaining who you are, where you work, your experience in the field, and how you intend to apply what you have learned with your current BIPOC clients.
The MTER program will be offered online only via Zoom on September 11th and 12th – from 9:00 am to 4:00 PM (with appropriate breaks and lunch-time off. You have to have access to a computer and camera: this course cannot be followed on a phone). During this difficult time of COVID-19 we are offering five free registrations on a first-come, first-served basis to staff members working in agency settings as described above.
To apply for a scholarship, please attach your one-page application to an email addressed to btraubwerner@adler.ca
