SickKids Centre for Community Mental Health Learning Institute is pleased to bring to you a special event, ADHD in children and adolescents featuring four experts in the diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents with ADHD. Join us for this in-person full-day training, including an interactive panel discussion and an opportunity to network with other professionals in the field.
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders in children and adolescents. *In Canada, 5-7% of children are diagnosed or struggle with ADHD. This comprehensive training program will explore ADHD and learning disorders, including diagnostic criteria, rating scales, facts and myths, multimodal management and medication therapy, and school interventions and assistive technology support. It will provide the latest research and evidence-based strategies to help you better understand and support children and adolescents with ADHD.

Learning objectives:
- The diagnostic criteria for ADHD and appropriate medication therapy
- How ADHD and learning disabilities co-occur – How do you support children with both?
- ADHD coaching – What is good coaching and how does it help improve executive function?
*Please note: As part of the protocol by Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) at SickKids, all staff and attendees are required to wear masks during the event.

Continuing Education (CE) information: 6 CE hours
SickKids CCMH Learning Institute has approval from the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) for participants of our programming to apply the number of CE hours earned in the program towards their continuing education hours.
Other licensing boards and professional organizations will grant continuing education credits for attendance at their own discretion; participants will need to submit the course outline and certificate for their consideration.
