Course Description
This interactive, engaging workshop series will examine ways to develop, maintain, and protect relationships with diverse and BIPOC communities using a Medicine Wheel framework. Through the series, participants will explore options for assessing individual and organizational anti-racist/anti-oppressive practices and identify concrete actions for becoming anti-racist.

Facilitator Biographies
Angela Connors | Community Race Relations Committee
Angela Connors, the Executive Director of the Community Race Relations Committee, is Anishnawbe from the Saugeen First Nation Beaver Clan. She has a passion for social justice, fuelled through her ancestry and shaped by over two decades in the non-profit sector and organized labour.
Angela has worked extensively with organizations across Ontario providing professional development encouraging dialogue and action on anti-racism and anti-oppression. She is a past recipient of the City of Toronto’s Access, Equity and Human Rights Award in Aboriginal Affairs.
In 2019 Angela spearheaded the successful campaign to get Peterborough to sign onto the Canadian Coalition of Inclusive Municipalities. She hopes to bring this campaign to municipalities across Peterborough County.

These workshops are designed specifically for helping professionals. We define "helping professional" as anyone in a position of interacting with people in providing a service.
How many people can attend?
Registration for this workshop series has been capped at 35 participants.
What is a partner workshop?
This refers to a workshop that is being put on by another organization with the support of A Question of Care.
Do I need to attend all of the sessions?
You must be able to attend at least two out of the three workshops. If you miss one workshop, you will be sent the recording to review. All attendees will receive certificates of attendance for participating in a minimum of 2/3 workshops.
Will these sessions be recorded?
Yes. These workshops will be recorded and limited-time links will be sent to participants who miss one session.
What is your refund policy?
We can offer refunds up to seven days before the first workshop. Eventbrite's fee is nonrefundable. After this period, we can accept substitutions. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.
