Applying a Trauma-Informed Lens to Program Evaluation

February 24, 2023 @ 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. ET

Presented by: Jenna MacKay & Julie Gilbert

Program evaluation is an applied form of research that can facilitate organizational, program, policy or project improvement. As traumatic stress can be triggered by and/or caused by organizational systems and the people that work within them, it is important to integrate a trauma-informed lens to program evaluation in an effort to minimize (re)traumatization and create safer environments.

This introductory webinar will examine how trauma-informed principles map on to forming evaluation teams, developing questions, and collecting, analyzing, interpreting and communicating data. The webinar will review systemic trauma and provide examples of how specific program evaluation methods can be adapted to support improving, creating and maintaining trauma-informed organizations.
