A two day conference will be held on October 2 and 3 at the Delta Armouries London Ontario featuring Dr. Jean Clinton and Dr. Kim Schonert-Reichel as keynote speakers. These internationally reknowned speakers will provide their expertise on the importance of social emotional learning (SEL) skill development in our schools, community and homes. Other presentations will feature
- the importance of cultural identity for Indigenous children and youth, with a focus on key components of cultural identity,
- supporting social emotional learning skills through an educational systems approach;
- social emotional learning in developing the whole child and mental health prevention
- the importance of staff wellbeing in supporting SEL
- SEL leadership skills and
- implementation of SEL at a frontline level.
