- Review the social determinants of health
- Understand impact of government financial assistance programs
- New ideas for change in how we provide financial social services, with a focus on the British Columbia "Cheque Day Study"
Presenter: Dr. Taryn Lloyd MD, PGY-4 FRCPC Candidate, Emergency Medicine. Addictions Medicine Fellow, CAMH/U of T
BIOGRAPHY: Prior to medical school, she completed an H.BSc in Neuroscience. Through working in the emergency department, she has developed an interest in understanding how factors outside the health care system may affect our clients and patients. She looks forward to bringing her Addiction Medicine training and experience to the emergency department in her future career.
