Course Description:

Are you receiving questions from clients or patients about cannabis? Are you using resources, such as Canada’s Lower-Risk Cannabis Use Guidelines (LRCUG), to guide these discussions? Are you looking to balance the evidence about the health effects of cannabis with what people need?

In 2019, we conducted research on local attitudes and perceptions regarding health messaging related to cannabis. This webinar will cover the purpose of our research, the local context surrounding cannabis, what we learned, as well as tools and strategies to address stigma as a limiting factor in effectively supporting clients and patients who use cannabis.

This webinar is part of the Community Cannabis Project, the goal of which is to increase the capacity of health and social service providers in Peterborough City and County to respond to issues associated with cannabis legalization through the provision of evidence-based information, training, and supports.
