Description: Building on foundational cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) knowledge, this advanced program is designed to help you apply the CBT strategies to specific clinical populations. Each module will help you conceptualize specific conditions through a CBT-based framework, as well as demonstrate the application of cognitive and behavioural techniques to these conditions.
Certificate program learning objectives:
- Conceptualizing cases for specific common and complex mental health conditions
- Applying and implementing cognitive and behavioural strategies for specific mental health conditions
This program includes the following five modules/webinars:
- November 1, 2024: CBT for anxiety
- November 8, 2024: CBT for generalized anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder
- November 15 and 22, 2024: CBT for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) with prolonged exposure therapy
- November 29, 2024: CBT for psychosis
- December 6, 2024: CBT for bipolar disorder
Please note: This is a five-module/webinar certificate program. You must complete all five modules to obtain the certificate. However, each of the modules may be taken on their own as a stand-alone webinar training.
CACBT training hours:
Upon completion of the Certificate in cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) Level 2: Application to specific populations, participants will have 30 hours of continuing education that is recognized by the Canadian Psychological Association and may be applied towards the required 40 hours of formal training in CBT as part of the CACBT certification process.
