In crisis intervention, practitioners often face the challenge of staying grounded amid chaos to effectively support those in distress. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), an empirically supported modality from the third wave of cognitive behavioral therapies, was originally developed to help individuals experiencing severe emotional distress and suicidal urges. The tools and strategies of DBT are also highly effective in crisis situations.

This webinar will provide an overview of DBT, critically examining it through an anti-oppressive (AOP) lens. Participants will learn how to apply DBT skills during crises to enhance emotional regulation, maintain a mindful, non-judgmental stance, and quickly build rapport and trust with individuals in distress.

Join us to explore DBT’s four pillars—mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness—and gain practical tools to support your clients in moments of crisis.

This Webinar is FREE for everyone!
