Join Access Alliance Multicultural Health and Community Services for a virtual gallery opening showcasing traditional embroidered artwork of Arabic-speaking refugee women symbolizing their migration journey to Toronto.
This event will include:
- The history of how embroidery has been used traditionally in the Middle East
- Information about the field and use of Art Therapy as a healing method through creative expression
- How traditional embroidery is used as a settlement mental health modality
- Sharing the artwork and stories of the program participants
