Empowering Safety: Strategies for Protecting Vulnerable Older Adults

This one hour webinar is designed for social service agencies supporting older populations who are vulnerable, at-risk, or experiencing abuse. We will explore how safety can be compromised, warning signs of unhealthy relationships and special considerations when safety planning.
Key strategies will be identified and attendees will through a case scenario, to help protect older adults in situations of risk or danger on how to maintain their safety and security. The Elder Abuse Prevention Ontario Safety Planning Toolkit link will be provided for front-line Social Workers to utilize in their practice and will assist in developing an ongoing safety plan for their older adult clients.
