This training is suitable for: First time supervisors, team leaders with supervisory responsibilities, and new managers.

This workshop will focus on the multi-faceted role of the supervisor and how to provide supervision to employees through the use of effective leadership strategies. Participants will learn the basics of supervision such as setting expectations, delegation, feedback and coaching for improved performance. Interviewing strategies, hiring and essential time management skills will also be covered.

Susan Geary has over 20 years’ experience as a trainer, coach, consultant, and corporate education manager. She has developed and facilitated workshops for managers, supervisors and employees in management, communication, influence, change management, supervision, team building and coaching skills. Susan is passionate about adult learning and believes in creating a learning environment that is safe, energizing, focused on learning, practical, and relevant to the job.
Ms. Geary is a dynamic presenter and her workshops are enthusiastically reviewed time and time again. Her mission is to help managers and employees develop the necessary skills and knowledge to perform optimally within organizations.
Her clients include many organizations in the non-profit sector as well as major national and international organizations and the provincial and federal government. She has a PhD in adult education and is the co-author of the book Colour Savvy: Helping you Achieve Success in Your Work Life (2010).
