This session is geared towards caregivers of someone living with a serious mental illness. We will review the estate planning tools available to caregivers, including; Henson Trusts, Disability Tax Credit (and DST certificate), Canadian Caregiver Credit, RDSP, information about assets and financial impact on ODSP, limits on exempt asses, and trusteeship- how to select the right person, and what it means to be a trustee for someone living with a serious mental illness. There will be space for Q&A, as well as takeaway resources to support planning.
