Event type: Single day (a day or less)

This is a challenging time, particularly for those working within the mental health and substance use field. We have heard from across our network how critical it is for youth mental health and substance use (YMHSU) delivery organizations to be implementing new and emerging virtual services to better meet the needs of youth and their families in light of COVID-19. We have also heard about emerging resources, practices and barriers to moving virtual.

What’s happening?

Frayme wants to help. We are inviting those who are interested to a Twitter forum on Monday April 6, from 7:30pm-8:30pm EST, to discuss collective learnings as we engage in new virtual mental health and substance use systems of care

What will the focus of the tweet chat be?

  • What’s working for your organization in terms of virtual or digital service delivery?
  • What are your needs for a platform or system that can safely, securely and effectively support those looking for YMHSU services?
  • What are your needs as a youth or family member that is looking to access services from your home?
  • Frayme will be discussing these questions and more throughout an hour focused on learning about current pressing needs, innovative solutions and opportunity for partnership across the network.

Who should join?

Anyone working within the YMHSU system is welcome to join us, particularly those looking to implement or those who have already implemented various digital or virtual systems of care. We are also looking to hear from youth or family members that have accessed virtual care platforms or wish to in the future; to hear about what mechanisms are needed to ensure effectiveness and meaningful engagement.

How do I participate?

Simply log onto your twitter account on April 6, navigate to Frayme's Twitter page where the questions will be posted beginning at 7:30 PM EST and reply with your perspective using #FraymeOfMind. Easy peasy.

What’s the ultimate goal of this?

Frayme will be collecting the information and pulling together a shareback. Frayme is looking for ways to bring resources to this need (that could include knowledge mobilization support, partnership opportunities and/or funding).

We hope you will join us to share and learn together in these unprecedented times. Stay safe.

Really looking forward to sharing information and seeing how YMHSU programs have moved to virtual service delivery and if they have developed educational tools that can be shared.
