Strong Minds Strong Kids, Psychology Canada (SMSKPC) is a national registered charity dedicated to nurturing resilience in kids with the use of psychological science so they can manage, learn, and grow from the many challenges in life. We help infants, children, and youth build a solid foundation of mental health before problems or issues arise.
Kids Have Stress Too! Grades 1-6 Program
This research-based program is built on an experiential learning approach. Its aim is to help child-serving professionals (and parents!) create teachable moments to introduce stress management strategies and build emotional resilience.
The program features skill-based activities that help children understand stress and its impact on health and learning, teach children practical techniques for coping with stress and promoting resilience and show children how to address the signs of stress before they get overwhelmed by them.
The program features skill-based activities that:
- Help children gain a sense of control
- Learn how to relax
- Develop a “can-do” attitude
- Build capacity for self-regulation
Who is it designed for?
Tailored for educators, child-serving professionals, caregivers, and parents, this program guides you in creating teachable moments. Learn how to seamlessly introduce stress management strategies and foster emotional resilience in the lives of school-age kids.
What’s included?
This training includes a 1.5 hour live session, Grades 1-3 Guide PDF, Grades 4-6 Guide PDF, a live Q&A with a Stress Management expert, and practical implementation tools for seamless delivery.
