The Art of Life Community Health Centre presents the Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction Course for Youth (ages 14 to 27).
Weekly one-hour online classes for 8-weeks.
The focus of this series of mindfulness lessons is to help youth impacted by social isolation, depression, anxiety, fear, and loneliness to learn the tools of mindfulness meditation to improve their resilience in the face of new challenges brought on by the COVID pandemic.
This is a Canadian Red Cross sponsored project to support youth during these unprecedented times of increased uncertainty but also an opportunity for self-discovery and developing inner strength which will be an asset under any life circumstances.
Join us for a weekly journey of personal discovery, calmer mind and an optimistic outlook for the future.

Why can't this be available to older people?
[@mention:375403833111313919] Thanks for you question, the reason is that we are currently operating this program under the conditions of a specific Canadian Red Cross grant given to help youth. Of course, we would love to extend it to everyone, but, there is just not enough resources and capacity to operate several programs at once.
Can youth workers join these sessions who work with youth?
I am late joining, but hopefully, I can still participate.
