Lived Experience & Recovery Network (LERN) offers FREE Youth Peer Support Training Program:
Lived Experience & Recovery Network (LERN), are excited to announce that we will be bringing our FREE Youth Peer Support Training Program to Rosseau in person on October 24 and 25, 9:00 am—4:30 pm (both days), at Rosseau Lake College. For ages 12 – 18, external community youth are also welcome to attend! In addition, on Aug. 21 & 22, we will have a training opportunity in North Bay, for ages 18 - 24.
Are you looking to enhance your listening skills and learn more about helping & connecting with others? This FREE 2-Day Youth Peer Support Training might just be for you! Current high school students who complete this training will be given 10 hours towards their required volunteer hours! Add this certified training to your resume! Please share/post to YOUTH, community members/partners, family/friends, colleagues, schools, and on social media.
Peer Support is when people can use their own lived experiences to help others (such as mental health and/or addiction). Peer Supporters listen, provide emotional support, and, most importantly, inspire hope (PSC).
