Join us for an engaging and informative workshop designed to enhance your clinical practice by building upon your understanding of attachment, developmental trauma, and exploring a variety of caregiver-driven interventions.  This full-day virtual meeting will begin with a review of attachment theory followed by discussion of specific practical strategies to support your work with complex children and families

Topics will include:

  • Attachment and Developmental Trauma Refresher
  • Creating Calm: Sensory Techniques for Emotion Regulation
  • Supporting Overwhelmed Families by Meeting Them “Where They’re At”
  • Strategies for Growing Adult Availability and Attunement
  • Working with Caregivers Around Their Part of the Relational ‘Dance’
  • Creating Attachment-Focused Plans to Prevent and Respond to Behaviour
  • Care for the Clinician: Managing During Complex Cases
  • Live Panel Discussion with the ACES Interdisciplinary Team

We will conclude the workshop with a panel discussion featuring members of the interdisciplinary ACES team.  This session will provide an opportunity for participants to ask questions, share insights, and discuss application of the interventions covered throughout the day.
