CAMH’s recovery college, in partnership with Skylark, is running a series of harm reduction workshops. These workshops are designed by and for youth with lived experience of mental health and/or addiction challenges.
There are three workshops: These workshops will be offered through Webex software and will include live, interactive, video, and audio conversations. You will need a computer, tablet, or cell phone with internet access. A phone number will also be provided to call in, however, slides will only be visible with the internet. Safer drug use Explore a variety of substances, including stimulants, depressants, and psychedelics. Increase your knowledge of drug effects, routes of administration, and associated harm reduction strategies. Wednesday, June 10, 4:30–6:30 p.m.
Overdose: what it is, what to do Learn to identify and respond to different types of overdoses, and how to administer naloxone. Wednesday, June 17, 4:30–6:30 p.m.
Sexual health Build your knowledge of sexual health through discussions about sex positivity, sexuality and sex stigma. Expand your understanding of STIs, testing, and prevention. Wednesday, June 24, 4:30–6:30 p.m.
