Hope+Me-MDAO Peer Support Training
Event date: -
Event type: Multi-day (+2 days)
Hope and Me is pleased to offer a national peer support training program. This four day training program is unique in the field of mental health peer support. Based on the Mental Health Commission of Canada’s standards, and over thirty four years of providing exceptional peer support to individuals and families struggling with depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, our certified training program is un-paralled.
This extensive training program covers four modules outlining the values and principles of peer support, practical techniques to be used in both group, and one to one settings, and an exploration of best practices to use in complex situations.
Participation in this training program also allows participants to gain access to continued education from Hope and Me through the Community of Practice Meetings following the completion of the training. This enables participants to continue to develop their skills, get support for challenges they may be experiencing, and remain involved with a network of peer supporters.
This round of training is offered on Monday nights from September 23rd to November 18th. Reach out to QV at quangvum@mooddisorders.ca for cost and registration.
