Wendy Gee is the Executive Director of A New Day Youth and Adult Services, Eastern Ontario's only restorative residential treatment program for young women that have sexually exploited through Human Trafficking. Wendy will discuss the restorative treatment program, challenges and successes, strength based and trauma informed practices that support the young women in their recovery.
Wendy Gee has held the position of Executive Director of A New Day Youth & Adult Services since 2016. Over the past 30 years, Wendy has worked in various capacities as a counsellor with community agencies across Eastern Ontario. She has held a number of senior executive roles, including Founder & Director of Om4Youth, a restorative yoga & expressive arts program for at risk youth & Executive Director of Turner Syndrome Society of Canada.
Wendy currently holds three college diplomas in Child & Youth Counselor, Business Administration/Human Resources Management, Drug & Alcohol Treatment Worker & a degree in psychology. Wendy has many years experience in program management/planning, grant proposals & fundraising.
