Learn about The Alzheimer Society of Toronto’s Boomers Club, a weekly social program for YOD and their families and explore ways to support the unique needs of this population.

Romina Oliverio, Community Partnerships Manager at the Alzheimer Society of Toronto (AST)

Romina Oliverio is the Community Partnerships Manager at the Alzheimer Society of Toronto (AST).  Prior to this role, Romina was the Community Programs Coordinator, overseeing the Active Living Program at AST. Romina was responsible for coordinating and facilitating therapeutic recreational programs for people living with Alzheimer's and dementia, their caregivers, and the general public.  Romina also facilitates workshops and presentation on Living Well with Dementia, Physical Activity and Brain Health for clients and health professionals. Romina co-created and co-facilitates The Boomers Club, a wellness program exclusively for people living with Young Onset Dementia and their care partners, one of the only such programs for people living with YOD in Canada. Romina has studied Social Development Studies and Gerontology and specialized in dementia-specific education.
