The Addiction and the Family International Network (AFINet) promotes, through research, practice, and policy, the well-being of family members, friends, and colleagues who are affected by and/or concerned about another person's problems or addiction to alcohol, drugs, or gambling.

The AFINet Conference 2025 is a great opportunity for people from around the world- including researchers, practitioners, policy experts, and indiviuals with lived experience- to come together and discuss current work aimed at improving the lives of family members of individuals struggling with alcohol, drugs, or gambling issues.

The event will feature over 70 conferences led by experts (researchers and clinicians) from 18 countries across 4 continents on the topic of Addiction and the Family in Quebec City from May 21 to 23, 2025.

All presentations will be translated into French and English (and any desired language) using Artificial Intelligence (AI / https://www.wordly.ai/)

This is a fantastic opportunity to stay current with the latest knowledge and interventions in this field. Please see the email below for more details.

The conference is funded by the SSHRC which is why we are offering a special rate for Canadians working as clinicians, service directors, and people in government agencies (see below for details – early bird rates end this Friday, but subsequent rates remain affordable).
