Between January to December of last year, there were roughly 20 opioid toxicity related deaths per day. That is 7238 deaths in a year. The Youth Opioids Awareness Program is hosting a free awareness session for youth aged 15 to 24 on August 31 from 2-4 pm that involves a case study challenge as well as a question-and-answer session. If you or someone you know is interested in increasing your awareness on the opioids crisis and what you can do to help, this session is for you. Seats are limited so make sure to book your spot now!
You can also learn more about the YOAP and how you can participate. In YOAP, you will learn about opioids, prevention, recovery and how you can help protect yourself and your community. Certificates are provided for our anonymous and confidential workshops. We also have a focus on mindfulness and exercise as well as resources that you can explore.
