To support community responses to opioid/overdose-related harms, the COMmunity Opioid/Overdose CAPacity-building (COM-CAP) project is organizing a learning exchange on supports for workers responding to overdoses in communities across Ontario.

This interactive session will focus on the current needs of workers experiencing grief and loss in the context of the current drug poisoning crisis, as well as practices, challenges and opportunities for supporting the health and well-being of workers.  Participants will be invited to raise questions to the presenters as well as to share their own updates, challenges and approaches. Gillian Kolla, PhD, is a Banting Postdoctoral Researcher at the Canadian Institute for Substance Use Research, University of Victoria

Juno Zavitz is the Program Coordinator of the Grief, Loss and Wellness Initiative at Breakaway Community Services
