LERN’s and PeerWorks Request for Feb 2026 Peer Support Strong Virtual Conference Proposals/Presentations!

 Save the date and request for conference presenters/proposals! Please feel free to post/share along with your contacts, community members, etc. This conference is open to anyone for free! We are currently looking for presenters/proposals. 

PeerWorks and Lived Experience and Recovery Network (LERN) are excited to share that we are back for our 6th year with our Annual Peer Support Strong Conference! We are holding the conference virtually on February 3rd, 2026. This year’s theme: From Lived Experience to Lasting Impact! If you are interested in virtually presenting, we invite you to submit a proposal. Please take a look at the information below. 
Please submit your proposal by Monday, November 17th, 2025 to info@peerworks.ca with the subject line “Peer Support Strong Conference Proposal.”

Topics may include, but are not limited to: 
• Working within clinical settings while maintaining peer values 
• Navigating “peer drift” and maintaining clear boundaries 
• Peer support across sectors and in untraditional roles 
• Navigating spaces that are critical of peer work and advocating for inclusion 
• Organizing new peer services outside of mainstream systems 
• Collecting and sharing data that reflects peer values 
• Measuring what matters: how to demonstrate impact without compromising principles 
• Storytelling as evidence: using lived experience narratives to show outcomes 

Proposal Guidelines Should Include: 
• A description of your presentation, outlining the topic/theme (300 words or less)
 • Explain how your presentation relates to this year’s theme: “From Lived Experience to Lasting Impact” 
• The anticipated length of your presentation (typically 45-60 minutes) 
• A brief bio of the presenter(s). For group presentations, please specify the number of presenters with bios 
• Please specify if you require any accommodation/accessibility support for your presentation 
• Your availability for our virtual conference: February 3, 2026 (EST)
