In this introductory four-day certificate program, participants will learn the main strategies for cognitive and behavioural therapy (CBT). Tools discussed will include case formulation and conceptualization; identification and modification of thoughts; behaviour activation; behaviour experiments; exposure; role playing; cognitive rehearsal; and problem-solving. This course is not specific to a particular client population or clinical disorder. It provides instruction on a set of tools that can be applied to common and more complex mental health conditions. The format of this training includes didactic presentation, experiential exercises, feedback, and a focus on micro-skill development.
