In collaboration with Obesity Canada, join us for a three part webinar series exploring the connections between mental health, weight and obesity.

#1. Wednesday January 8: Overview of the connections between mental health, weight management and obesity

Join Dr. Sanjeev Sockalingam, Senior Vice President of Education at CAMH and Scientific Director at Obesity Canada, and Ian Patton, Director of Advocacy and Public Engagement at Obesity Canada for a discussion on the various links between mental health, weight and obesity.

#2. Thursday, Februrary 20th: Navigating mental health medications and their impact on weight

Join Dr. Mahavir Agarwal, Scientist, Psychiatrist and Lead of the Metabolic and Clozapine Clinics at CAMH to learn about navigating the impacts of mental health medications on weight. This session will have a focus on antipsychotic medications and their side effects related to metabolism and weight, including ways to prevent and treat them.

#3. Wednesday, March 26: Weight Bias, Stigma, and Discrimination

Join Dr. Sanjeev Sockalingam and Ian Patton to discuss the impacts of weight bias, stigma and discrimination of our mental health and well-being. This session will weave lived experiences with clinical evidence to explore this important topic.
