The Neurodiversity Movement: A Social Worker’s Curiosity about Adult ADHD

There is a wide range of differences in human brains and behaviours, with no one “normal” way to be. This is neurodiversity. The neurodivergent community is organizing and advocating for change.

This workshop will introduce the guiding concepts of the neurodiversity movement, from the perspective of a Social Worker with late-diagnosed ADHD. We will look at Adult ADHD beyond the DSM criteria, and how neurodivergent identities connect to neuroscience and the disability rights movement. We will then explore tools, tips and takeaways to support Social Workers in their work with members of the neurodivergent community.

This Webinar is FREE for Ontario Registered Social Workers (RSW), Registered Social Service Workers (RSSW) and Students of Social Work and Social Service Work Programs. Please note: If you are not an RSW, RSSW or student of these programs in Ontario, you may still attend but will be charged a nominal fee of $35.
