A New & Innovative Approach to Anti-Oppressive Practice: Interacting in the Quantum Field

February 21, 2023 @ 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. ET

Presented by: Barbara Waterfall, MSW, PhD

The information presented in this session is informed by traditional Indigenous understandings about: who we are in relationship to consciousness; how energy works and operates; the law of cause and effect; and how to impact lasting change. As a means of connecting a broader audience, these understandings will be bridged and supported by quantum field theory. Learners will be given new insights about “use of self” in practice, as well as will gain practical information to address issues that come up in the work of anti-oppressive practice. Some of these practice issues involve addressing micro-aggressions, resistance, white fragility, anger, fear, frustration, trauma and compassion fatigue. This webinar is specifically designed for social workers who are open to becoming pioneers in a whole new social work approach.
