One - Day Conference on Leading the Integration of Physical and Mental Health Care

Health care providers are invited to attend a one-day conference on evidence-based practices for managing medical conditions for people with mental health problems. This conference is being led by the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and the University Health Network.  

The conference will include interactive workshops, question and answer periods as well as panel discussions on the following topics: 

• Treating physical health issues in patients with mental illness
• Mental illness and cardiovascular disease
• Mental illness and metabolic syndrome
• Mental illness and cancer
• Palliative care
• Smoking cessation interventions
• Head injuries and mental health
• Engaging families in care
