Ontario Centre of Excellence for Child and Youth Mental Health and School Mental Health Ontario Webinar: Virtual care 101

Are you a child and youth mental health service provider looking for more guidance when it comes to providing virtual care?

You certainly aren’t alone! Communal efforts to limit the spread of COVID-19, while much-needed, have abruptly and significantly altered the delivery of child and youth mental health services in Ontario. Many service providers in schools and community-based settings have adopted virtual strategies including phone, text and videoconferencing because they know that, if anything, the need for their services is only increasing through this challenging time. However, for a lot of providers, this is relatively new territory. Many don’t feel totally comfortable or confident with these new or different methods for delivering care.

During this one-hour session, child and youth mental health experts will share their experiences with virtual care and answer your questions about best practices. We will not focus on any particular platform; rather the goal is to help you feel more comfortable and confident in delivering virtual care.

During registration, you will have the opportunity to submit up to three questions for the panel. Note that the webinar will be delivered in English, but questions may be submitted in either English or French. French speakers will be available to answer questions in French as needed.
