OPDI webinar: Top Ten Ways to Rock the Rainbow: Improving 2SLGBTQ+ Inclusion for Mental Health Clients and Staff

Join OPDI, Bonnie Pedota and Nyk Morrigan for an hour of learning, questions and conversation to help you provide 2SLGBTQ+-inclusive space for clients and staff. Presenters will offer ten strategies to inform your inclusive approach. Resources for future reference will also be included.

Presenter Bios:

Bonnie Pedota is the Student Wellness Coordinator at Ontario Tech University. She has worked in the mental health field in many capacities, including Peer Support Specialist, CBT Coach, Mental Health Educator and Spiritual Psychotherapist. Together with Nyk Morrigan, Bonnie has delivered presentations about 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion at several regional and national conferences. Bonnie is passionate about opening hearts and minds, including her own, to grow love and inclusion in this world.

Nyk Morrigan (who uses them/they pronouns) currently works as an Educational Assistant in schools. Nyk has worked in the field of mental wellness for over 20 years. As an author, mental health coach, public speaker, Nyk works to help break the stigma that is often associated with being a part of the 2SLGBTQI(+) community. Nyk is passionate about shedding light on the high rates of depression, anxiety, and suicide in their community. Nyk has presented with Bonnie on regional and national levels for over 5 years to help raise awareness and influence change for the better in the lives of others.
