Healthcare and Shelter sector Leaders, Frontline and Peers are invited to discuss how Peer Specialists are adding impact in bridging gap wait times to services, reducing team burnout, increasing access to healthcare/housing, and improving systems for Living Experience People of Complex Homelessness including Mental Health, Addictions, Victimization, and out of Law Involvement. Peer Specialists will present on their compliment service as an effective and collaborative team member.  Hear about their specializations in Harm Reduction, Youth, Housing, and within Emergency units.  This is an inclusive event for Leaders, Frontline, Residents and Program members to learn more about the benefits of Peer Support.  Peer Programs with social educational benefits to positive community connection, overcoming substance abuse, and encouraging behavioural health and empowerment, as well as onboarding Peer Programs will be touched upon.  Peer Support recovery-based employment essential training is available virtually!   All are Welcome on Friday, May 28th from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
