This course, framed with CAPSA's Principle of Substance Use Health, aims to uncover biases and change how we view people who use substances.
Participants will learn about the negative impacts of stigma on our health, and gain the knowledge to address stigma, thereby increasing the health outcomes of people who use substances.
It shows the importance of language, and how our choices of language can either perpetuate stigma and its harms, or can be used to reduce stigma through using person-first language.
This training is unique to CAPSA, which is developed and delivered by subject matter experts who are informed by our lived and living experience.
