Free 2-Hour Clinical Training for Iranian Therapists

Understanding and Treating War-Affected Clients in Times of Crisis

🔶 About the Training

War does not end at the battlefield. For many Iranian therapists today, the war lives inside the therapy room, as our clients sit with the unbearable weight of distant danger, helplessness, survivor’s guilt, and ongoing fear for loved ones abroad.

This free 2-hour online training is designed specifically for Iranian Farsi-speaking therapists who are supporting clients affected by war, whether living inside conflict zones or carrying distant danger here in diaspora.

Together, we will explore how to hold space for clients navigating the complex psychological, relational, cultural, and existential burdens of war trauma, even when bombs may fall thousands of miles away.

🔶 What You Will Learn

•  How war-related trauma presents in diaspora clients, beyond standard PTSD.

•  The unique role of therapists working with distant danger, ambiguous loss, and moral injury.

•  Clinical tools grounded in Structural Dissociation, Ego State Therapy, Attachment Theory, Polyvagal Theory, EMDR, Brainspotting, and Somatic Experiencing.

•  Stabilization strategies when danger is ongoing and safety feels impossible.

•  Therapist self-care and supervision guidelines while working inside collective trauma.

•  Cultural and ethical complexities unique to Iranian clinicians, who hold space for their own communities.

🔶 Who Should Attend

•  Iranian and Farsi-speaking therapists, counsellors, psychologists, and supervisors

•  Graduate practicum students in the psychotherapy or counselling fields

•  Therapists supporting clients with war-related trauma, transgenerational trauma, or diasporic distress

•  Mental health professionals seeking trauma-informed, culturally-attuned clinical skills during this time of crisis

🔶 Why This Training Now?

Because many of us, therapists and clients, are carrying this war inside our bodies, our communities, and our therapy rooms right now.

Because we need tools, we need language. We need grounded clinical frameworks.

And we need a safe professional space to support each other, as clinicians, Iranians, and human beings living through complex times.
