We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Symposium, "Thriving in the Mental Health Landscape," on September 19th.

The core focus of this one-day Symposium is to equip mental health professionals with the resilience, knowledge, and networks needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving field. It’s an excellent opportunity for professional development, networking, and gaining practical insights from experts who are directly engaged in the mental health profession. The Symposium will feature a range of insightful sessions, including:

  • Sustainable Therapy: Preventing Burnout through Self-Preservation and Schedule Management with Rachel Warner, RP. Rachel will share strategies for managing schedules, practicing self-care, and recognizing the early signs of burnout.
  • Standards of Practice: A Living Document Guide to Ethical Best Practices with Stephen Douglas, RP. Stephen will explore the application and ongoing updates to Standards of Practice, emphasizing self-reflection, peer consultation, and continuing education.
  • Resilient Mindset: Thriving as a Mental Health Practitioner in the Digital Age with Stephanie Tenhaeff, RP. Stephanie is a Board Certified Executive Coach and Registered Psychotherapist. Her keynote will focus on building resilience amidst technological advancements like AI, taking a human-centric approach to adapting and thriving in the future of mental health care.

This event has been created to be accessible to all: it is one day, affordable, and available both in-person and via livestream. We want as many mental health professionals as possible to have a chance to learn how navigate the rapidly changing landscape in Ontario, to grow their careers, and connect with peers and colleagues.
